Won two Super Bowls, was first-team All-Pro three times
Jimmy Johnson, a Hall of Fame cornerback who spent 16 seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and won two Super Bowls, died Wednesday night. He was 86.
Johnson was a first-team All-Pro three times and a member of the NFL's 1960s All-Decade Team.
Johnson was known for his tough, physical play and his ability to cover receivers one-on-one. He also was a standout return specialist, returning two punts for touchdowns in his career.
Johnson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine, and three children.
