Lampards Second Spell At Chelsea

Premier League Football Legend Frank Lampard Returns to Chelsea

Lampard's Second Spell at Chelsea

Legendary English midfielder Frank Lampard has agreed to a second spell in charge of Chelsea, this time until the end of the season. The 43-year-old left Everton in January 2023 and has been appointed on a caretaker basis following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea's All-Time Leading Goalscorer

Lampard is Chelsea's all-time leading goalscorer, having netted 211 times during his playing career at Stamford Bridge. He broke Bobby Tambling's previous best of 202 goals in 2013.

The former England international is also a highly experienced manager, having previously led Derby County and Everton. He guided Derby to the Championship play-off final in 2019 and kept Everton in the Premier League during a difficult 2021-22 campaign.

Lampard's return to Chelsea has been met with mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing excitement while others have reservations about his appointment. However, the club's hierarchy will be hoping that his experience and knowledge of the club will help them turn their season around.
